SCHOOL REGULATIONS
The international language program (Saturday language program) is not a mandatory education program in Canada. It is a voluntary education program under the guidance of the School Board. The Ottawa XinHua Chinese Language School has set up some regulations in order to create a pleasant, healthy, safe learning and teaching environment for students and teachers. The principals and the teachers would like to thank the students and parents in advance for complying with these regulations.
1. Classes are held every Saturday of the school calendar from 9:40 AM to 12:30PM.
2. Students are required to be at school on time in order for classes to begin promptly
at 9:40 am on Saturdays.
3. Students should bring their textbooks, exercise books, pencils or pens for class.
4. Students are required to respect each other, and no bullying is tolerated in school.
5. Students must respect the teaching environment and their teachers while at school, and
bad behaviour, which will interfere with or disrupt the teaching process, is not tolerated.
6. As we are using the locations of two French high schools, keeping a good working
relationship with these two day schools is very important. Students should be held
responsible for their own actions at school. They should not move, play with or
damage anything in the classrooms that belongs to the homeroom teachers or the
students of the day school.
7. Students (and parents) will be held liable for any damage to the school’s property or
that of the teachers or students of the day school.
8. At the discretion of the principal, repeat offenders will be temporarily or indefinitely
suspended from the school.
